Where did you grow up?
Omokoroa, near Whakamaramara on a Kiwifruit orchard.

What was your first Adventure race?
ARC12hr 2003, with my bro. We had never seen a topo map in our lives, paddled single sea kayaks, didn't have a compass, but we won it. He's now got two kids and an Enduro Bike.

Little known / unlikely fact about yourself?
I have one foot bigger than the other so tend to run around in circles.

What you will do when your knees finally give out?
Knitting.

Occupation?
International Man of Mystery - for Orion Health.

Worst Adventure racing experience?
Taking over the nav from sick team mates in Ecomotion Brazil, missing a turnoff and going down the wrong valley in torrential rain and spending 12hours carrying our bikes over thick mud.

Biggest "blow"?
2004 6hr Rogainne at Huia - I tried racing on Coke (from the start), and completely blew up after 3 hours - sorry Lach ;)

Favourite Adventure Racing food?
Pies (in transition and on the course).

Best support crew moment?
Every transition - they are always smiling and happy to see us :)

Favourite Race?
ARC and really looking forward to the ARC48 in 2006!

Where did you grow up?
Rangitoto, not the island - a small farming community east of Te Kuiti where my parents still have their Dairy farm.

What was your first Adventure race?
Leppin Big day out in 1999, held in the Kaimai Ranges in the worst weather I've ever raced in - everything since has been easier.

Little known / unlikely fact about yourself?
My middle name is "Edric Baker" which is the name of my uncle who works as a doctor in a rural village in Bangladesh.

What you will do when your knees finally give out?
Buy a dirt-bike and take up Enduro riding.

Occupation?
Computer Programmer for Datacom Systems Ltd - Auckland.

Worst Adventure racing experience?
Spending many hours lost on a farm in what should have been an easy bit of navigation near the end of a long mountainbike stage in the 2004 Southern Traverse.

Biggest "blow"?
Last stage on Day two of the Coromandel Classic 2003. Took 2 hours to complete a 30km bike leg. Consumed an entire packet of toffee pops while sitting on the side of the road.

Favourite Adventure Racing food?
Bacon and egg pie with veges for transition and jelly snakes out on the course.

Best support crew moment?
Receiving a foot wash and massage after the trekking stage in the 2003 Auckland Arrow. Far above and beyond the call of duty but pretty near the best feeling in the world.

Favourite Race?
Tie between the ARC 24hr and the Carson Challenge.

Being support crew, I just wanted to be out there racing.
