Leanne: Thanks

Thanks for allowing me to spend the last 6 days sitting at my desk, at work, here in Athens, GA following every inch of the race...  it has made my week go by so fast! Congratualtions on a well deserved win! All of my co-workers got hooked too...  don't tell the Governor!

Enjoy your success!  Cheers to many more victories!

Roel Michels: Oops

We went to bed with the laptop last night to keep up with the progress. And what a night it was. You seemed to be going a bit too far south, then correcting, but then turning west to the 'railroad buttes' a mean looking steep range. Could you find a way through there in the dark. No! We could see ways through, which other teams later took. Shame we couldn't call you. So you backtracked. Probably to the latest point where you knew exactly where you were. Or did you? Then a surprise turn to the south. Checking out the options that looked like a good move. You were on what looked like an easy track heading for a clear way out of trouble. Then stopped. And back-tracked again for a huge distance to finally get back on the right track. Did you waste too much energy? Did you know, that you were still leading? Did you have any physical problems? We did not know. During our breakfast we saw you moving again in the right direction. At work now, I see you got to the last checkpoint. Should be easy from here, but you never know. Well done and good luck for the last bit... Awesome to keep your cool and finish it off. We got the bug again to race another XPD after following this.

The Butters: Happy 35th Stu

Stu,

Stu have a great day, we think Wayne and Brent should carry some of your gear for a few hours and maybe Anna give you a short tow. For your birthday we have 1 transition foot bath/wash/rub and a piece of that bacon and egg pie the next time we are crew. Just the thought of that should get you to the end of PQ. We are really rooting for your guys. Go team orion.

Fi McB: Happy Birthday Stu!!!

For those who don't know, its Stu's birthday today (Saturday 15th!!) - hard to think of a more unlikely way of celebrating it than being out on the bike with your smelly team-mates - footsore, sleep-deprived and hungry...hope the team packed you a cake Stu!!

Keep posting those messages, Wayne's lovely wife Lynne will be checking and updating the website throughout the race, so might even be able to pass on your 'go fast' wishes to the team out on the course somewhere!

Ciao,

Fi
