Interview

Where did you grow up?
A farm in Oropi, somewhere between Tauranga and Rotorua.

What was your first Adventure race?
2004 Christchurch Arrow 24 hour, in the snow. Came second just half an hour behind Seagate.

Little known / unlikely fact about yourself?
I don't think so, everyone already knows way too much about me.

What you will do when your knees finally give out?
Put them in the garage with all the other broken gear.

Occupation?
Compliance Officer for the Rotorua District Council.

Worst Adventure racing experience?
Being support crew, I just wanted to be out there racing.

Biggest "blow"?
2004 Kauri Run. feeling good the entire way then, after consuming numerous jellybeans getting massive cramp down the last hill. Having to stop and stretch for 5 minutes before limping home.

Favourite Adventure Racing food?
Pizza.

Best support crew moment?
Finishing the 2004 Christchurch arrow, and our support crew (Russell Prince) was not at the finish. Instead he had gone to go to the local night club in Hamner to dance the rest of the night away.

Favourite Race?
I hate them all an equal amount.
