I'm the old man of the team, bringing plenty of worldly experience to our racing. At least that's what I tell my teammates. I played volleyball and soccer at school, and entered running races on the track, road and cross country. In 2003 I did my first adventure race on a whim and have gotten in over my head ever since. I've been working for Orion Health since 2003 in various roles, and am currently the Sales Director for New Zealand, which keeps me very busy.

Fleur has been involved in multisport for around ten years, after getting into it accidentally by being talked into the Coast to Coast teams event. After that experience her teammate never got into a kayak or on a kayak again, but Fleur hasn't looked back. She used to combine training with a second life as a sedentary policy advisor in Wellington, but these days can be found in the Christchurch store of R&R sports, selling the products she test on the hills and the trails. Keep the body active and the mind will stay fit as well!

How did I get into Multisport? From early childhood on I have been interested in sports...swimming, cycling running and exploring. Running or mountain biking around in the woods gives me great pleasure. New Zealand with it's abundance of green, the National Parks and rivers, beaches, hills and forests intrigued me very much. So I immigrated and joined the local Multi sports scene in 2001 when I entered a race that covered the length of New Zealand. It was called the Mizone Endurazone.

| Like a typical Kiwi kid I grew up with team sports like cricket, rugby and soccer which I continued to play until age 21, at which point I switched to cycling a bit and re-engaging in running after a number of years out of that nasty business. In 2003 I fulfilled a lifelong dream of racing the Coast to Coast, and did so alongside Mum (well, in the same year anyway, couldn’t let her beat me) who pretty much funded the whole thing as well. I was hooked and didn’t look back.

Hi I am Anna Berthelsen. I am 26 years old, and this is my third year of competing in expedition length adventure races. I developed a sense of adventure and love of the outdoors during my childhood, partly spent in the Tasmanian wilderness and the other half spent exploring the Pacific Islands with my parents and two sisters on an old-style sailing catamaran. I currently live in New Zealand where I am working as a marine biologist in Paua aquaculture. Here I can enjoy all of the outdoor activities which I love, including surfing, mountain biking, snowboarding, tramping, kayaking, rock climbing and lying in my hammock reading.
